Athletic Accomplishments

You can't control your name, but you can control your game. And your destiny.

You better know where Destinee Hooker is on the volleyball court at all times. At 6'4", she is the most devastating opposite attacker on the floor. You can see her long arms and limbs as she stalks around her zone like a predator. And when the ball is set anywhere near her, you better watch out. When she comes down on the ball, her kills are damn near violent. Kills so dead I start hearing funeral dirges.

Volleyball not your thing? Okay don't worry. Because when Destinee was at the University of Texas, she was also an NCAA high jump champion for 3 consecutive years (2006, 2007, and 2009) and won the NCAA indoor high jump championship in 2009, when she broke the indoor collegiate record with a casual 6' 6" (1.98 meters) jump.

Springs. Bunnies. Hops. However you want to call it, Hooker can jump out of the fucking GYM.

Character Archetype: The Ruler

Truth be told, there's not a ton of coverage about Destinee Hooker out there. So, I'm just kind of taking a shot here based on what I've seen and read. And I think Destinee is the ruler type. She prefers being on a team to competing solo (hence why she chose volleyball over track), and loves to be the leader and to have a lot of trust and responsibility from her teammates. How Destinee goes, so goes the destiny of her team. It's a heavy crown, but she wears it well.

Did I get it right? Not sure. If only I could receive or find more coverage of someone who has more raw athleticism and a much better name than Tom Brady.
